Life is better when you find companionship

Dear Singles Scene,
Two years ago I wrote to thank you for your publication because my son had found his bride through it. They are doing well and expect a baby in the spring. Now I must thank you again for myself. In August of 1997 I met a gentleman through your paper also who became my husband in October.
(We wrote letters for a year before meeting each other.) We are both retired and have had some adjustments to make. We have had some great times and also some shouting matches that neither of us enjoyed. The big picture is that we both needed a companion and we found each other with your help. Thank you.
P.S. My advice to others is: ask questions and pay attention to the answers.

Dear Sandra,
I was a widow for 15 years and resigned to being unhappy and alone. In May 1997 as a last attempt for happiness I placed an ad in Singles Scene/Spirit & Life. I'm afraid I really didn't hold out any hope. But I figured I had tried everything else, my church groups, volunteering and joining political groups, to no avail.

I received four letters in response to my ad. Two from the beginning were not right. One only wanted a pen pal and we still write. The last letter I received on July 5, 1997, was from a man I felt connected to right away. We wrote for two months, talked on the phone and finally met. I'm pleased to announce, we were married last week and I've never been happier. We match so well. I know only the Lord could have put us together.
I want to thank you and your magazine for my chance at happiness. Frank and I will think of and thank you on every wedding anniversary.

Dear Sandra,
Hello. I'd like to tell you I really enjoy reading your articles in Singles Scene/Spirit & Life. I have great news! Through God's help and yours, I've met a wonderful Christian man in your paper. He is so good to my son and I. He's just wonderful. We love each other very much. I didn't think it was possible, at least for me.

I've read so many wonderful stories about how single couples have written to one another, have met and fallen in love. It brought tears to my eyes.
I prayed to the good Lord for me to meet that special someone in my life. The good Lord has answered my prayers. I know through God all things are possible. Praise God.

Please tell other single folks out there not to give up. It happened to me. It can happen to them too. Therefore would you please remove my name from your listings as soon as possible. I am taken and no longer available. Thanks for all your help.

Dear Singles Scene and Personal Search,
I have enjoyed my time as a member of Personal Search and a subscriber to the Singles Scene magazine. I will not need their services any longer and will not renew my membership because I was married December 27 to a lovely young lady. She was an international listing that was sometimes mailed to members.

After final examinations at my law school for the Christmas holidays, I journeyed to Rumania to meet her and her family. It was love at first sight for the both of us. We spent a few weeks traveling around Europe to get acquainted, but eventually we talked about our two year relationship and decided to get married. I had a great month in Rumania and am looking forward to her arrival in the United States.

Again, thanks for all your cooperation and assistance in this endeavor.

Dear Singles Scene,
I need to cancel my ad in your magazine. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for providing this opportunity for me to meet nice Christians. Thanks to your magazine and the hand of God, I have met a truly wonderful young lady, someone who may have been extremely difficult to find without your help. Purchasing an ad in Singles Scene was a leap of faith for a somewhat skeptical person like myself. It turned out to be the best investment I have ever made in my life. I mean that with all sincerity.
May God bless you and your work.

Dear Singles Scene,
In 1992, the Lord blessed my now wife and I. He miraculously put us together and Singles Scene was His vehicle. Thank you so much for you part in that. It's quite an awesome story of His wisdom, two quite beaten and hurting people were fused into one wholesome, happy personage for we do see ourselves and feel ourselves as one.

Dear Single Scene,
Yes your paper has helped me receive Jesus and I'm now born again.
I placed the prayer on my wall, next to some items a friend of mine sends me (prayers). I have never met her. We are just pen pals, but she reminds me that God loves me every time she writes. Thank you for helping me find God again.

Dear Singles Scene,
When I read that I believe that Jesus died for our sins, and God brought Him back, a surge of power and mental strength came over me. My arthritis and pain, both mental anguish and self pity stopped. I thank you and publications such as yours, but mostly I thank the Lord. I praise God.

Dear folks,
Please cancel my membership as I have met my dream girl through Singles Scene. Her name is Rosetta. Plans are in the making for our wedding this upcoming June 4. Many thanks for your wide circulation. ... M33893
