2010 Pumpkin Festival King and Queen. The award plaque reads: "In an effort to show sincere appreciation to the entire 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment and their families for their sacrifice and commitment to our community, state, and nation, The Great Pumpkin Festival Committee recognizes SFC (Sergeant First Class) Jerry Dale and Wanda Asberry as the 2010 Pumpkin Festival King and Queen Presented this 2nd day of October, 2010. " Dale joined the military on September 28, 1987, and has served there for over 23 years. He is a two-time Operation Iraqi Freedom veteran. He currently holds the rank of Sergeant First Class. Dale currently works at the local National Guard Armory where he serves as Readiness NCO (of the Jamestown, Livingston, and Oneida armories) and is also an Infantry Platoon Sergeant.
